It means the public school system has taken responibilty for feeding some kids twice a day now. Kids were being sent to school without breakfast:(

Those are some excellent guidelines that PT posted. I would only add a couple of comments.

Once mama became aware of my abilities she established definite goals and standards for me. There was no question that I had to achieve.

Also, when I needed discipline, she never disciplined out of anger. It always took place after a day or two so she could consider what I had done and how to deal with it. There were only two punishments. A lecture/scolding or a whipping. Once it was over, it was over, no timeouts, no groundings, etc.

A few things I'll teach my kids:

    - Don't talk to poor people. They suck.
    - If the homecoming/prom queen asks you out, turn her down, then ask out her uglier friend. Wait a week. Reap the benefits.
    - Fat people suck. Mock them as much as possible, it's for their own good.
    - Hunting in the Midwest is the equivalent of shooting cows chained to bales of hay. Be a real hunter. Hunt the South.
    - Never admit to liking anything that is popular among the masses. You are better than all of them, therefore you shall mock everything they enjoy.
    - Real football is only played in the South.
    - You can believe in religion if you want to, just so you will feel better, but in reality, you won't feel any better. You will still be miserable like the rest of us.

If he/she sticks by these beliefs, I believe they will have a proper foundation.

    That is SPOT ON.

Ignorance breeds ignorance. Some of the crap I see kids getting away with in front of their parents w/o correction kills me.

Here's the noble sheep to once again supply sufficient verbiage to allow this post to post.
