No wall hangers but they were fun to catch. Both went back in the water immediately after the picture was taken.

You guys posting the pike/musky/walleye pictures are making me quite jealous. Very few waters in southern Indiana hold those species of fish.

Guys, I went fishing yesterday on the Alabama River. The water is high and swift so I was fishing in some flooded backwater. I saw a 6-7 foot Alligator Gar swim by slowly at about 10 yards. It was absolutely massive. The tail had to be more than a foot wide. Wow!!! What a sight. No pics sadly

Just so happened to catch one of my top 3 smallmouth this afternoon. I believe its my biggest but i don't have exact measurements. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1368243520.526764.jpg

I know it was over 20" and 3 lbs+ so I consider that a good day.

only saltwater for me, but havent fished in about 3 years as my dad passed and i just cant seem to find the motivation to go back out without him.. Not a fan of the freshwater fishing.

Striper i have mounted was 42 1/2" and almost 28 lbs. Caught it with my grandpa and dad when i was 10 and was the first "big fish" i caught.

Since then caught a handful of fish in the 40+" range with the biggest being 36 lbs. And also cobia in the 40" range.

Saratoga which gets pounded locally. It's only 3700 acres and has 4-5 tourneys a week on it. Usually 15lbs will win it and 12 will be in the $$$, so it's not known as a big fish lake. I also caught a 6-12 out of Champlain while prefishing last summer which as you know also gets pounded on by some of the best in the country.

Not sure how big this King Salmon was but he was bigger than the 16lber I caught and released earlier in the day on the fly rod. The gar was also caught on the fly rod and weighed right at 20 lbs. Other fly rod fish are: 6 lb striper, 7 lb hybrid striper, 4 lb smallmouth and 7 lb blue fish. Biggest on spinning gear are 10 lb rainbow, 16lb lake trout, 9 lb walley, 30 lb blue cat and 125 lb alligator gar.[IMG][IMG]

Yeah I hear Saratoga is decent but not known for big fish for sure. Thats awesome man! I havent fished it myself yet. And 6-12 on champ is sick also! Ive caught a few 5s up there, and a 4-14 smallie in a BFL, but def nothing over 6, let alone almost pushing 7!
