I didn't know the brand of crackers so I put high taste crackers Christine! lol...they are veggie crackers and are dang good.

Sounds like you have had some different experiences with the dad meals in your life....

Gotcha. I'd never heard of the term 'high taste' before. I even tried googling it. :D

Davidmil, a buddy of mine had to have surgery because his hand kept falling asleep. That's gotta be the ultimate rejection there. ;)

When you took it too far:lmao:

No kids here, yet, but when The fiance is out of the house I tend to get back to my roots. She was raised in a city and doesn't care for the taste of venison. While she's gone it's usually deer or elk steaks, deep fried fish, or hamburgers washed down with either Summer Honey or Moose Drool. Nothing special but it suits me just fine

Yup, nothing better than some tasty backstraps or steaks in the pan with olive oil, butter, garlic and onions. My buddy took a whole hind quarter of venison to the outfitter at are annual fishing trip to Canada this year. It was to be a personnal gift for the owner. He ask, how do I cook it. He suggested we cook it as a tasty treat for the weekly fish fry. That of course means I got to cook it. Took an afternoon off from fishing to bone it out, clean it up and season. It was a big hit. Everyone loves venison, even non hunters. Veggie nuts won't try it usually but in a fish camp with 28 people it didn't last long as a snack.

Taking things too far is one of my few talents. I usually don't even have to be prodded

My all time favorite dad-dinner is smoked sausage, potatos & onions... fried up in giant iron skillet, and slightly burnt. My daughters LOVE it... and for the record, I fry it in olive oil. That's healthy, right??

Yes Josh, the olive oil negates all of the other food, so your meal would be deemed neutral. Not bad for a Dad meal, not bad at all. :)

My dad used to feed those to us when we were kids. They weren't bad. I think the vinegar overtakes whatever they are really supposed to taste like. :D

vinegar is pretty strong yes. it would be like a piece of fat on a steak but "meatier" chewy but breaks down pretty easy. fat is just mushy, pigs feet are both mushy a bit and then more solid.

the ones behind the bar are actually better than the ones i was holding in that pic.

Man, I haven't had pig feet in decades. When I was a teenager you could get them at all the pubs up here for about 25 cents or something silly like that. It was a great snack while tipping a cold brew. They always had a huge jar of them right next to the pickled eggs and the Slim Jim rack. Probably as bad a thing as you can eat health wise.... BUT.... after being reminded of them, I'm going to have to go find some. Yum Yum.
