Everyone knows that a bow kill on public land is so much sweeter. What is your best trophy taken on public land? Mine was a 140" 8pt with a huge body, my uncle in law shot his biggest buck ever on public land. Good times.
Not only is this my best buck off of public land, it's my best with a bow. 129 5/8" net with deductions 125 3/8". So, after drying, he won't make P&Y min. I'm happy with him in my record book.
I'm not sure where the pictures are, but my best was also my first buck with a bow. I was 14, and snuck into my dad's stand when I wasn't supposed to be out hunting. Whoops...He was a 2 year old 8 pointer that score around 120".

Don't have a picture, but my highest scoring public land buck was in wisconsin in 06, 9 point that grossed in the 120's. I don't typically do a lot of hunting on public land, blessed to have some great friends with outstanding property.
