I would love for me, my dad, and my brother to go on an early season velvet whitetail hunt in Saskatchewan. Next to that would be for us to go bowhunting elk out in the western part of the country. Just as long as I am with them...
Mine is probably a good 10 years off, because it would involve a Rocky Mountain hunt (most likely Elk, but Mulies, Sheep, Goat, Moose would do) with my two boys (now 6 & 4)...Me as their guide, just those two with bows/tags. Even sweeter if camp included Wife/daughter/any future kids...and even better yet if daughter/future kids get hooked on this trip and ask to get a tag themselves when old enough. Since my Dad is the one who got me in to hunting/fishing...would still like to do a nice out-of-state trip with him...but could also see him just saying, let's save our money and just spend a week at the cabin chasing whitetails...and we'd have just as much fun. Individually - my dream hunt that I'm working towards is a high-country sheep hunt, particularly a Rocky Mountain Bighorn...with bow of course...the higher and more remote the better I'm lucky in that I do get to host a couple deer camps each year with my closest friends and family...it really is what hunting is all about...this would be the last thing I'd ever give up when it comes to hunting. I look forward to the days of bringing my own children and their friends/dads along and sharing the great world of hunting!
Boy oh boy. Hard question. Right now I would have to say a guided black bear hunt over bait in northern Wisconsin with my best friend. Going out west for elk is a close second.
i would love just to just hunt with my buddies more! now i read back and you said money aside.... my answer is the same, just to know i have a few days off is when i really get excited to hunt, oh and whitetails, just whitetails!
Elk hunting in September in Idaho, then to Minnesota. Black Bear hunt in Minnesota, then back to Iowa for deer and fall turkey. If all goes well, my glass will be full. I wish I could go Red Stag hunting in New Zealand, but $$$$ wise, I don't even dream about that. Because contrary to the original post there are some wishes that will go unfulfilled when you have limited income and a mortgage to pay.
