If you run trail cams lets see a good 1st racker for your area. Shall be Interesting.

Here's what I would call decent for my area. I hope like heck he stays around for next year, I love the character In his rack. I had this buck at 10 yards a few times, the rack looks cool. I've also saw 2 other nice 1.5's but have no trail cam pics of them. One Is a great 6 point and the other Is an 8 point with awesome potential as well.

Here is what they looked like this year. Which was weird, I usually see little 6-8 point basket racks on yearling bucks. But spikes and forkies were the rule this year.

    Great post Steve,

This year we noticed that in general the size of the 1.5's went up on the farm I ran my camera on for a majority of the season. We got some photo's of bucks that we had to really study as their bodies said "1.5" but their antlers screamed "2.5"

This is a more common 1.5 for the farm

and here are several of the other bucks that we believed to be stud 1.5's

Here is a 2.5 for reference

And this dude appears to be either a big 3.5 or a smaller 4.5

I failed to do much with the cam in 09 but found a few pics from 08

this one could go either way. strong 1.5 or a decent 2.5, likely the later
