Heard it on the radio too this morning on the way to work, crazy... I'm curious if investigators will be able to figure out exactly how it happened.

IMO, places like this are an accident waiting to happen. They seem to be a huge waste of money. Ordinary people should not be allowed to keep such exotic animals. Shooting them was the answer to the problem.

So you have a vial of tranquilizer ready for a monkey.....walking through the woods you come across a grizzly. Do you say wait just a minute mr. Grizz I have to put some more medicine in so I can effectively tranquilize you?? Heck no....

I suppose that's the problem  I don't think that killing the animals could have been entirely avoided, it just kinda sucks.

No, you have your tranq gun loaded for grizzly and if you see the monkey shoot it anyway. I guarantee he has a better chance living through a grizzly tranquilizer dart than a .45 hollow point! LOL

IDK the right answer in this situation, I just know it'd be sickening to take part in. Atleast no people were hurt!

My mom was listening to some political radio talk show earlier this morning and some guy asked what gun he should use on an exotic because he lived a few miles from the area. Other hunters called in and gave him some advice. I just that this was pretty cool.

Its good they are all dead, but that's too bad they couldn't make there way up to Michigan and end up in the woods by my house. I would love to get an excuse to pull out the ol' Winchester 30-30 and go tiger hunting. Plus my closet has room for a nice warm tiger coat anyways...

EDIT: just read this over and im probably guna need more than a 30-30 for a tiger...

I'm sorry I just don't se what's so bad about killing all of these animals in this situation. My facts could be wrong but they were stuck in a cage, illegally?? With the number of animals that were out in the location it was in it seems the best option....IMO.

It was a legal place basically like a small private zoo from what I've read. Dude just went off his rocker, cut all of them free, and killed himself.

I don't think there is anything terribly wrong with killing them, and see why they chose to given the situation. It just seems like such a waste to me is all. Like I said, I understand why they did it, just wish they could have avoided it even if it was only for a few animals of the 40+ total.
