Are okay with me. I know we talk different. Yall live in the north pole and yall don't eat the same cuisine but I got to say, the more I interact with yall on here, the more commonalities we share. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't live in that cold weather, yall are some tough SOBs! Then again, a mid July day in southern VA ain't no picnic. But one thing is for sure, yall ain't much different than the boys I run with below the Mason-Dixon Line .. I tip my beer to yall!
I've been putting up with them for years on here. They're alright. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Us northern gals aren't too bad either, just had a big pan of fresh collards in bacon fat for dinner tonight....lol
It's a dry cold up here, I will say I sweat like a fat kid and I hate the heat. Ran around out west for many summers chasing fires working on black ground in kevlar pants and long sleeves that still was not as bad as the humid south in the summer. Up here we worry about bug spray down there it is all about hydration.
You know Sota, I had a guy from Green Bay tell me once that it felt colder here in the winter because it's not dry... He said the moisture makes it feel colder...That's interesting.. I can tell you this, if it dips below 45, we are all bundled up!!
Come up ice fishing with me and Sota in central MN! I live for the fall/winter. Summer is nice and all, but you can’t beat a day in the stand or fish house. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m in North Carolina. It’s hot all year here except when it’s cold. A decade or two ago I spent February in Nova Scotia. I had people looking at me Like I was nuts because they were colder than I felt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have been to landfills in Lake Okeechobee and Miami Dade in July and spend 10 hours in the sun you need a gallon of water and gatorade rehab, you get behind on hydration you will not catch up out in the sun. I get a headache if I get even slightly dehydrated.
Come sit in the living room and watch tip ups with football on the TV, bring the house good winter lake.
Coldest I have ever been was in east texas when Columbia went down, they used us firefighters to grid for shuttle parts. There was a front that came thru from the gulf that had freezing rain and some snow. The wet cold goes to your bones, was miserable and frozen for 2 days.
yep...that's about right. it's even more humid in Fla. I have never seen a river or lake freeze over in VA. the edges yes, but never the entire lake. Ice fishing would be cool for sure. The plus side, we can bass fish all year long, and catch em.
Ice fishing is ice drinking, lets be honest there is no group of sportsman that drink more while in pursuit than ice fisherman.
honestly, it used to not bother me, but the older I get, the less I like it. July and Aug are the worst. 90-96 deg average and humidity 100%...go outside for just 1 minute and you will sweat your ass off
I’m a Midwesterner. I get it all. St. louis is right where the jet stream flows one way or the other. It can be 100 and high humidity or like now, 81 and cool breeze in August. Next week might be the gates of hell again. Who knows. I’ve seen 40-50 degree temp swings in December and January.
off topic for a second...but I am watching the NFL network ...they actually ran a segment on Brady being the first QB to win a super bowl with two different teams...really? do they really think that's a possibility? maybe Im ignorant, but he ain't got coach Bill running the show in Tampa..
