In some places you could watch it run for a 300 yards or more. So I will go with the first option since it is a little closer. I wouldn't mind following a blood trail if I knew the deer was down.
I like when they jump a short distance, stop and then watch wobble and fall over. Dead with in sight works the best for me . Immediately come down and get your deer
Blood trailing can be great, I love blood trailing! But it can go the other way also and anxiety of maybe not finding the deer is too much for me. So that is why I voted on seeing the buck go down in site.
If I have a good blood trail, I would pick tracking any day. If no blood trail, I want him to die in sight.
Drop a short distance within sight for me. I prefer to not have to sit in the tree and wonder about it until I even see a blood trail. I had one each way last year and then had a doe that was dead within 75 yards in brush with no blood trail..that sucked.
x100!! Blood trailing is the best and the rush of seeing you're hard work pay off when you see it laying up ahead on the track job.
Same here love to watch's fall in sight but might I ad if I had to take up trail after a good hit well bring it on nothing like the challenge of taking up trail on Whitetail
Watch'em drop Even though I see them go down I still like to check the blood trail out. Helps learn how certain hits tend to bleed.
Dead within sight. Ive been fortunate that all of my top 3 bucks went down within sight. I find that extremely satisfying plus there is no second guessing or anxiety of waiting.
Fall dead as a doornail. I hate the second guessing and I can nock another arrow and wait for the next victim
When I get my first buck, I'll let you know. At this point any scenario that leads to me finding a dead buck will work for me.
