I have been cranking up the poundage on my bow as I've practised with it and gotten comfortable... SO Sunday a.m. I get in a pop up blind and sit from 7 a.m. until 1:0 p.m.....didn't see a thing, but I decided to take a shot out of the stand just to see how it would work out for me..I picked a target put the practise arrow on and realized from the cramped quarters of the blind I simply could not pull the bow....I was shakin like a dog Sh!tin prune pits ...strugglin....LOL I thought something was wrong w/me so I got out of the blind and could pull back no problem..... Wonder if I would have been able to draw the bow if a Buck had showed????? SB it's hell to get old
oh man.... Its harder for me sitting. This season was my first year bowhunting ever. I did the same thing I started out with my bow at a super low weight but cranked it up each time I could shoot a dozen arrows without having so much fatigue that my form suffered. But my first morning in that stand was a WHOLE new experience! A doe walked in ten minutes after first light. I was SO nervous shaking like crazy! I made a good shot, no problems drawing, but its a WHOLE new experience to drop one at ten yards!
Ha ha! Always try your bow from the sitting position, and with all your hunting gear on. Bibs or your safty vest will bind your traps and shoulders where you cant pull your bow.
especially when its cold... i'll look around, make sure nothings there and each hr i sit i'll pull and hold the bow back till i shake and let it down to keep the blood flowing, muscles loose and confidence up!!!!!!!
