Started my 8 day vacation today. So last night I put a stand in and make a mock scrape. Go in this morning well before light dragging a scent trail. Get in my tree, wipe down and drop the wipe.It hangs five feet off ground. Oh well. Finish getting dressed and settle in. This is going to be good, wind is ok but not the best. After a while I decide to go for a drink, reach for pack and knock quiver to ground! Now I figure I will set drink on seat of stand and try to retrieve quiver with my pull rope. Spilled drink on stand seat! Cannot get quiver, coffee on seat and I am in a pine tree so of course I have sap all over my hands! Spray the heck out of seat that I cannot sit on for fear of soaking up coffee into my "scent free" clothing!!! Ten minutes later a black cat walks in front of me!!!! Are you kidding me??????? Turkeys come by after that and of course I have no call with me! I remain standing till noon, get down and check mock scrape and at least there were some tracks in it. Cant wait for the morning........
