I'm right there with you, I didnt go out once this weekend. I did get the camper all cleaned out, winterized and everything brought home and put away. Been seasonals 4 years, and not going back next year, so everythng came home. Had a very productive day, and now I am ready for the colder temps, so I can get back into a stand.

I'm usually out in it. I know I certainly haven't killed enough to get to that point yet:busted:

In reality, on those days, I will sit in a stand that requires little hiking in (assuming the wind is good). Yesterday evening was a little warms, so I sat in a stand in a finger of woods separating two standing corn fields. Saw a flock of turkeys, then on the way out jumped a shooter buck and about 6 doe.

82 for the high tomorrow... I'm planning on getting out for the evening anyway... :)

Sometimes you have to go when you can, not when you want too. ;)

Hunted both evenings Sat. and Sunday. Deer moved but not until about the last 30min of legal light. I was especially miserable Saturday evening because the stand I sat was in direct sunlight until it went down. I think I would have sold my soul for just a bottle of water that night. Having said all that though, my nephew took a 135 class 9 pt. Saturday night....his first bow-kill ever.

    Blessings.....Pastorjim

Took my lil' buddy (6 year old son) out and we sat in the ground blind for a couple hours. We didn't see anything cept Chipmunks and Squirrels. We giggled and sweated and I let him lead us out, in the dark, with his trusty flashlight. He made one wrong turn that I corrected.

    Best hunt of the year.

I hunted Saturday morning and evening and Sunday Morning. 7:21 am, mature 9 pt walked 5 yards from my new set. Unfortunately I was in another stand about 200 yards away. I have good pics on my trail cam of him though. Sat in that stand Saturday night, had a non shooter walk by, jump the fence and into the corn field at about 6:30. I saw 8 or 9 does/fawns, coming and going from the neighbors corn field to the pond. Corn is still in.
    Saw nothing Sunday morning.

I have not killed a lot of deer and I STILL did not go hunting. Just too hot to enjoy it which is still what it is about for me.

Took the girlfriend out hunting for the first time this weekend, I warned her with is being so hot that our chances were slim, but she still loved it, even if we didn't see anything over 2 sits.

Youth season in Wisconsin this past weekend. Three sits with my son in good areas. Did not see a deer.
