I have been runnin my Reconyx over some corn on my honey hole property for nearly two weeks just to get a quick inventory of the deer. I went in today to check the camera and noticed that it was knocked down the tree a bit and there was mud on the case.

Not only did the bear decide to play with my camera, but it is also taking pictures with the left side blurring out.... and... 5 different bucks on camera... 1 legal 8 point about 10" wide.... not exactly what I was hoping for

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that nothing like that happens to my new homebrew, but for some reason, they're just drawn to them:) Hopefully you get the blur issue fixed.

Don't you guys have an extended (moreso than last year?) bear season this year?

Heck, I'd be more excited about seeing the bear than the deer! :)

Yea Greg, I wasn't planning on getting a bear tag this year but there have been alot of sightings around and I think I may just have to give it a shot. I wouldn't shoot this guy, he is tiny... but there have been 4 bears spotted on my buddies family farm with two being giants (they have both been estimated around the 500 lb mark from a few different people who have seen them. My buddy had them both pass by him at 30 yards in turkey season and if it wasn't for him, I probablly wouldn't believe the stories. We have a cam out there now and will be putting another out tomorrow... hopefully the big bears will show up.

Jason, I can't help buck laugh at that sequence of pics. Glad to hear he didn't destroy the camera though.

$16 bear tag, and bear opens Saturday this year when I don't think anything else is in season, maybe fall turkey, since they shook up the seasons.
