Not looking to start an anti Yeti thread or you should of bought this brand instead, etc But.... all of my coolers lids have started to warp and I see it’s a problem that’s starting to become quite common. Originally I thought it may be from heat because the one in the back of my truck is always in sunlight, but the two others in my garage are also warped and they are in AC 24hrs a day so it’s not that. They are curled up around 3/8 of an inch at either end and as a result won’t seal. Anyone else have this issue?
Haven't had this issue that i know of but now I'll check ha. Mine rides around in the back of my truck 6-8 months out of the year and has since got it 3 or 4 years ago. Only problem I have is one of the pins that holds the lid on works its way out and needs drove back in. Also first I've heard bout this happening. Has anybody had luck contacting yeti? Also mines a 45, just curious what size yours is? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I have the 65, 105 and 110 and they all warped. From a google search it seems pretty common and you can claim on warranty for it but unless they change the design or build of the lids it will happen again so I don’t see this having a good outcome for yeti.
Ic, yea idk I'll haveta look around some. Kinda odd, wonder if it effects all them or more so newer vs older. Just ran out and looked and so far so good on mine. But I agree not gonna be very good outcome if its something that can't be fixed or stopped from happening. Otherwise may haveta look into something different. Don't really care about the "politics" or whatever when it comes to yeti, I have alot of their stuff cause haven't had any problems with it and I usually stick to what's working. But if that changes idk ha. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I like their products, I have the hard and soft coolers, cups, flasks, bottles and buckets etc and their products are great. But this has got me a little annoyed
Mine are only about a year old. No issues yet. Use them quite often. Hope they resolve it if it’s flaw in design or material characteristics.
Not that it fixes the problem but from the looks of it every cooler of this rotomold type has this issue. After looking it up little bit it was kinda bothering me so I went and looked again and just right on the corners its starting to little bit. Seems its still sealing up good so I'll haveta keep a eye on it. Had you never posted this probably would have never looked or noticed ha. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
It would be a pain, but instead of using locks, you could get a bolt and nut to tighten it down. Yeti needs to fix it, but it could work as a temporary solution.
I just use the lock on the one side so it doesn't get lifted from the back of my truck. They definitely need to fix them, I use these year round and with hurricane season being here, if we get power outages they get used as temporary refrigerators.
Oddly enough its pretty cool out today, 63ish, and cooled down overnight with some rain and mine went back down like should be. Wasn't as bad as yours to begin with and doesn't explain the ones you have inside. So who knows. Definitely kinda fustrating but from everything I've been reading seems like they're pretty good at replacing lid or enitre cooler if u get a hold of them. Doesn't really make it better if it happens again or they dont correct it. Also saw couple different ways ppl have fixed it by bolting the lid down for while or letting it sit on its lid and a flat surface weighted down. But again it would be annoying for it to happen all the time and wouldn't expect it to be a problem to begin with. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I gotcha, well then that kinda defeats the purpose of a cooler if its not working right when its hot out ha. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I wonder if you took a heat gun to the top side of the lid ? Been reading more about it and it seems to be happening to quite a few people. I’d start sending email at least
