While "gun owners" may be a minority they are certainly a plurality of the Yeti-marketing demographic. The harder the push against 2A generally and NRA specifically; the more members they draw. And for those of you who think the NRAs power comes from their political donations, please read this from the right wing rag NY Times: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/24/us/politics/nra-gun-control-florida.html Agree with them or not, the NRAs power comes from membership and word of mouth, not politicians. If you think that Yeti isn't pissing in their boots you're dead wrong.
When the NRA did nothing to stop Cuomo from getting elected in NY and subsequently allowed the Safe act to be passed illegally by that assclown. I quit my membership.
Show me where I said where their power comes from? I agree with you their power comes from their lemming members who can’t think for themselves.
You and I have had some good back and forth over the NRA (generally) and I know someone here recently posted that. Thought it was you- if that wasn't you I apologize. OG post edited
The power does come from membership, but its not like yeti is any type of gun, gun parts, or ammo manufacturing. They're geared more towards outdoors and hunting/fishing demographic and its no secret that that demographic is spilt right now when it comes to gun issues. How many news stories or fb post have you read that start, "I'm a hunter but see no reason for xxx rifle, mag capacity, or firearm accessory being banned, Membership may go up but following everything they say to the letter is not across the bored. Look at this thread, it's about 50/50. I doubt yeti is pissing they're pants about anything, if they were there would be more than one statment made from them defending their position or correcting it. And have yet to see anyone drop yeti as a sponsor or big box stores remove products off shelves. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
People are blowing up 200 dollar coolers, on what the NRA made up, what do you call those people? Free thinkers? What’s wrong did my post hit to close to home for you?
Got any proof that the NRA made it all up? Because I have not seen any evidence one way or another that puts either company in the right. The way I see it, Yeti knew full well that in this day and age, any movement away from the NRA would be taken as a political statement, with so many other businesses taking a stand one way or another. I find it hard to believe that they couldn’t foresee this happening. Unless some new piece of information comes out to prove the contrary, I believe it was an intentional political move to distance the company name from the NRA. I could be wrong but that’s how I see it. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I’m 29, own many guns, have 0 interest in supporting the NRA, and am 100% pro 2A. If anyone thinks that’s a bad thing... Well, they can go pound sand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Can you please call me something a little more original then a lemming? I’ve already been called that before Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Sycophant has a nice ring to it, might even make a good team name for next year, what do you think of the “non-typical sycophants”? Still waiting for some proof that the NRA made all this up by the way, I’ll be over here making up more lame team names while you get that over to me. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
