phew clicked on this link scared of what i would read- I was expecting a lot of "die yetit die!" Glad there were many before me to set the record straight. It would be a shame if people stopped purchasing Yeti over this. One thing that is interesting about this is how NRA claimed they did not receive a reason why Yeti ended the relationship. If that is true, that would be a poor business relationship move in general.
I am curious to see how much this actually effects Yeti, a few competitors have already taken advantage on social media.
The NRA and their business doesn't get to dictate everything that goes on in the US. They are not the Knights in shining armor who are out on the front lines protecting the 2nd ammendment without seeking a profit. They are a business just like everyone else. Looking to make money. Yeti released a statement on their FB page explaining their point of view and they are still being crucified. I still don't get it. I hate to bring this up, but it really is making some of the NRA members look like cult members. It's like they don't have a brain to think on their own. Sad.
Some are using that as a reason for their slandering. "Yeti is over priced anyways, I'm really not supporting them now because they are anti second amendment". Give me a break. SMH
From the sounds of it this was already in the works for little bit but the NRA decided to get butthurt and release a statement that wasn't needed. Still find it funny ppl that have never or never will buy anything Yeti crying about it. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I love how everyone jumps to conclusions without seeing/hearing both sides of the story. It's actually sad how the NRA handled this situation.
“NRA 4 LYFE SCREW YETI!!!!! BURN THE MERCHANDISE!!!!” Haha. Official statement from Yeti. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
https://www.wsj.com/articles/cooler-maker-yeti-kills-ipo-plans-citing-market-conditions-1522072840 Looks like the writing was on the wall for yeti to stop the discount programs they mention in their statement. Find it hard to believe the NRA didn't get notified or see it coming. Honestly the NRA is starting to look worse, should make any company think twice about getting involved with them if they act like snowflakes when a agreement ends and isn't renewed and this is what they pull. Few things here: A) I meant to post this thread title ending with a question mark- I know better than to start a thread before my 2nd cup of coffee B) I should have looked/waited to see if Yeti responded C) what I thought had happened here was Yeti was forced to buckle under pressure not from twitter trolls but their financier (Citi, BoA) who are in fact forcing companies to divorce from the NRA and/or pro 2A agendas. Apparently not the case from what Yeti is saying D) I'd like to see NRA make this right
There's certainly a large amount of truth to that, as I've admitted recently. The same applies to unions and any large special interest group. It's up to us as members to hold them to account. guessing this was ginned up a bit to throw some gas on the fire during their 100k membership drive.
