So whats everyone's opinion on Para Ordnance pistols? I got word of someone selling a Para Ordnance double stack .45, blued finish, for $650. I am going to email them tomorrow, but wanted to get some feedback from you guys. Good? Bad? I will post the specifics when I figure out exactly what it is that he is selling.

    Save your money.
I had a Para Ordnance Warthog. It'd jam 2 out of 3 rounds no matter what ammo or bullet type.Wouldn't shoot a decent group,a paper plate at 20ft,you might get ONE hit out of the 10 in the magazine, and that was off of a sand bag.
Put a couple a hundred with that 650 and get yourself one of these.http://www.springfield-armory.com/armory.php?model=27
I don't know what your intended purpose for the gun is.But I bought my Range Officer for a target pistol and it quickly became my everyday carry gun.
It's accurate, easy to shoot, extremely lite recoil for a 45,eats every type of ammo I feed it including my reloads. The sights aren't much for personal defense, but it's not hard to put a set of night sights on it.

Cole, if I'm spending that much on a used gun, I'm looking for a Kimber or HK... just my personal preference.

I'd def be looking at a kimber if your going to spend that much. Or just buy a Glock or Springfield for less $$$.

Alright, thanks guys. I'm looking to buy a semi-auto .45 for just general use. I will be carrying it shed hunting all the time, and it will be under my seat the rest of the time. I will take a concealed carry class once I turn 21, but I doubt I carry it unless I'm on the road somewhere.

I looked at a new S&W 1911 the other day, I think it was like $600 or $700. I have pretty big mitts, so a decent sized grip feels a lot better. I actually bought XL grips for my .44 revolver
