The anyone part , I meant globally. It was not a popluar move at the time outside of the states. The war did seem to come very suddenly IMO.

Uhm....Iraq had very little to do directly with 911. It had everything to do with us being hit time and again by ME terrorists, causing a war on terror and an Iraq that was going towards a nuclear arsenal (as far as we or anyone else knew). Saddam refused to heed a few dozen UN warnings and determinations insisting on full and free inspection to make sure Iraq was living up to the judgments and orders placed on it after the gulf war.

Hussein finally ejected the inspectors completely and THAT'S what caused the war in Iraq. Blaming it directly on 911 and WMD's is just stupid, it was actually the fact of UN resolutions being totally ignored and inspectors being ejected that caused it. Spreading democracy was a sought after side effect.

If the president were worried about American lives, we would not have been in Afghanistan either. Why is Afghanistan the right war?

What is your point, I know what I wrote and it does not conflict with my original post. If you copy someones post, you should at least have the decency to quote the post that I was responding to also. So it cannot be taken out of context.

You know what the Ottoman Empire is? It was after their downfall after ww1 that they started warring. but their bloodshed want much more than what western powers were doing with imperialism conquests and colonialism throughout the world.

That's not at all what I said. I din't say we had the right to do anything. Has nothing to do with that. Our government choose to take action to remove a tyrant. I said whether you think we should be there or not, never said I though we should have been there in the first place. You are reading more into my statements than why I'm actually saying.

"I feel for everyone that lost a friend or family member to the war in Iraq because apparently their sacrifice was for not." - That stings pretty hard for some, but I would guess not everyone would care to see what they died for.

No **** you asked why we invaded afghanistan. I told you, you respond with but he was found in Pakistan. It would be smart for anyone to get out or remove the items people are coming for before they find it. We had no reason to go to Iraq and either president would have pulled out.

Iraq had reported weapons of wmd. Are you saying we shouldve gone to war with pakistan?

How much do you actually know about these wars?

I'm sorry you think your so smart, but he had apparently been there a VERY long time.

I have copied an article below, but to save you some time:

Q: How long had bin Laden been in Pakistan?

"He and his family reportedly entered Pakistan in mid-2002, spending time in the frontier city of Peshawar and in the restive tribal agencies on the border. He then moved to the Swat Valley, then a well-known tourist area of Pakistan. About a month later he moved to Haripur, and then – with wives, children, and grandchildren – to Abbottabad in 2005.

At one point, the daughter of one of the compound's guards recognized a TV image of the man she knew as "poor uncle." When she brought it up, the family's TV privileges were revoked."
