Lets not forget that the Dems were in control of Washington during the last couple of years of the Bush Presidency and the Dems sponsored a lot of the deregulatory legislation that was passed causing huge economic problems. Lets also not forget that the Dems were the party forcing banks to make bad loans so that everyone could live the American dream by owning their own home, even if they could not afford it. Under George W, about the best he could ever do was run with an evenly split congress. I am not a fan of George W, but I do think he gets a lot of credit for things that really were well beyond his inept control. And, in fact, were out of his control. He is an easy target for the Dems though because so many people in their party want to believe the twisted stories and too few of them are willing to look up congressional record and accept the facts.
