Hey hey the gang all here! It seems we have the name (and an avatar to go with it) settled on unless there are any objections to Yes Deer. Next order of business is selection of a captain. Any nominations? Anybody done it before?
Any luck with the goats? I really would like to go on an antelope hunt. The nearest public land that has them is only 4 hours away from me. I have my doubts if I can make it happen this season.
Make sure our entries have all the required info, watch for posts by Fitz to all the captains, and you might be asked to weigh in on disputes in the competition. I did it last year or the year before...it's a cake job.
Not a bad first pic on a new property. We were hoping to get a food plot in here, but just ran out of time. Water will have to do the trick for this season...
300 acres in hill country. This is a .7 acre clearing just off of a 20 acre hay field...the rest is dense woods. It looks like the deer stage here before heading out into the hay field.
Nice sized prpoerty. I'm hunting a 10ish acre abandoned farmstead for September. It looks to be an easy setup. My son and I have a blind and tree stand set up on the north edge where we think they are leaving to go into the soybean field.
It's the biggest chunk I've ever hunted. I mostly hunt the Cincy suburbs. My main property is 24 acres, but I have a 1.7 acre secret spot this year. Should be interesting...
I love me some trail cams. My dad is quite the enabler since he carries Covert cams at his sporting goods store. Rim Country Guns, in Arizona...in case anybody is headed out west.
I just have one camera that I move around. It's only good for getting a general idea about what's around. Hard to inventory and pattern anything with just one cam.
Same here, More for fun then anything else but I figure maybe I can get lucky and figure something out with it.
