So i saw him chasing a doe about 430 or so but he would just not come in range. Nothing worked, grunts, bleats, he was focused. Luckily he comes by about 40 minutes later, this time on the"right" side of the creek. He goes nuts making a scrape and i shoot him right after. I hit high in the spine but got lucky and was able to follow up with a better shot. I feel so relieved as this session has been wild! Now i get to learn how to score a buck.

The wife let me out again this morning. I watched a 140" 10 pointer chase does for the better part of 2 hours. He was within 50 yards a couple times, but always at a dead sprint. Fun hunt for sure! Oh, and my friggin grunt call froze...
