I came out to help one of my property owners cut firewood and they tell me a 14 pointer just walked through the yard 15 mins ago. I do have my bow in case he comes back...

Scored my buck, going to be a little north of 148. Looks like Kfill just shot a buck as well.

Well it's been one of those years for me. Seen tons of deer just not the ones I'm looking for. I will be back out in the morning.

So i saw him chasing a doe about 430 or so but he would just not come in range. Nothing worked, grunts, bleats, he was focused. Luckily he comes by about 40 minutes later, this time on the"right" side of the creek. He goes nuts making a scrape and i shoot him right after. I hit high in the spine but got lucky and was able to follow up with a better shot. I feel so relieved as this session has been wild! Now i get to learn how to score a buck.

Congrats to all the successful hunters on the team. I'm officially jealous of the nice bucks that you guys have tagged. :)

The wife let me out again this morning. I watched a 140" 10 pointer chase does for the better part of 2 hours. He was within 50 yards a couple times, but always at a dead sprint. Fun hunt for sure!

Oh, and my friggin grunt call froze...

The wife has been seeing a nice buck with a doe the past two afternoons around 4:30 on a field edge near our house. So today I'm going to try and Ambush them.

Thanks man. Same to you! Keep swinging boys theres still plenty of season left, Once these guys stop chasing the ladies we should be able to start patterning some go them again. At least thats my plan, still got one more buck tag to fill...
