I have an XD .40 not the XDM series. It is a full size (service size) pistol not the compact or sub compact. It is nothing short of a fantastic pistol. I think you will like the Springfield if you go that route.

Mine is however much to big to try to carry without bad printing, at least on my frame. Bigger guys I am sure could get away with it though.

Yeah, I doubt I will carry this other than in my vehicle. I'm hoping they are all still there tomorrow. There is literally nothing new in stock in this store, and I've been in once a week since two days before Christmas. Curious to see what Bidens recommendations are tomorrow.

Made the purchase. Went in with intentions of buying the 3.8", but the 4.5" felt so much better in hand. uploadfromtaptalk1358289324233.jpg

Thanks. Hope to put some rounds through it this weekend. Handles so well, and the 19+1 is a plus. I tried the gun in the paddle holster it came with and the relatively thin profile makes it something I could carry on occasion. I still plan to get a smaller frame for pocket carry, but this will do for 90% of the time and what I need it for. I figure I will probably also shoot this much more recreationally than a pocket sized gun.

Awesome! Never heard a bad thing about those XD's. I'm tossing around getting a full size one in 45. One gun store I go to has almost no guns at all, the other has a rather large inventory, but they are price gouging beyond reason. A S&W M&P 15-22 for almost $700!!! A 400 rnd brick of cheap american eagle 22 shells $40, Remingtons were $50. People are still in there throwing money at them hand over fist

Yeah, Rybo, this store is pretty picked through and has been for weeks. Their prices still beat out everything I can find online and at other stores and chains. I got the gun and the kit (hard case, extra mag, lock, holster, dual mag holster, speed loader, extra grips) for $650 + tax. They had the non-stainless slide 9mm as well for $600, but I liked the stainless. Considering the availability locally and online, I thought it was fair. I also bought their last box of 9mm :(

Well with much run around with Gander Mountain on only having PK380's that fall in the recall and the turn around time was 10 weeks minimum to get it back I did a little digging on the intra-web! GM wants $419 for the gun, they would price match so that brought it down to $380 because of Bass Pro, I called around and Midwestern Shooter Supply in Lomira, Wi had guns in stock and good to go on the recall for $350! While waiting on paperwork I strolled around the store and looked for an extra magazine, another score, 2 in stock for $33 each, thats by far $20 cheaper anywhere I can find them, if I can find them! I'm a happy camper!!!!!!

I just picked up a S&W bodyguard .380 friday for my other half and she loves it. we took it out saturday morning and put 50 rd's threw it. If i can find another 1 im going to pick it up for my self as a back up. My main Carry firearm will still be the glock 32c .357 sig.
