Even with my recent debacle, from a enjoyment standpoint I might as well sell my slug gun. There is something about hunting un-pressured whitetails. Here in Wisconsin, we have a 9 day gun season and 640,000 hunters take the field. That is a lot of people in the woods at the same time for a state the size of Wisconsin. This obviously instantly changes deers patterns. Because I could only hunt deer 9 days a year I would always put a lot of pressure on myself to get a deer so I would have meat. This distracted away from enjoyment Also, our gun season does not start till the Saturday before Thanksgiving which means I have never hunted the rut during the peak. Can't wait for that.

Now I can take my time, hunt as often as I want, hunt the rut, relax, and get in close to the elusive whitetail.

Do I love bow hunting already? Heck ya. :)

Yep it sure don't take long. Lad u aren't letting it get u down. It has happened to us all and if not it will.

I haven't carried a rifle n2 the deer woods for 4 years now. And I don't plan on doing so anytime soon.

This is why I said from an "enjoyment" standpoint. Our GFY camp is a gun hunting and grouse hunting camp. I need to get a couple of those guys bow hunting so we can have a bow camp. :)

It's hard to beat this bowhunting stuff! Easily the most enjoyable way to hunt deer. But I will still go during gun season. Getting away to the cabin w/ my dad is always a great time.

Naw, it's because my Hoyt shoots harder than any rifle I've ever owned. You, on the other hand, would benefit from a pellet gun. :D
