Am wondering what the average yards between pins are you guys with my new bow the difference between pins are about 10-15 but my old bow was only 5 max. Does that sound normal?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean?

If you're talking about what yardages you set your pins for, in most cases people seem to prefer 10 yard increments. I personally have pins for 20-30-40-50 yards even though I'll only shoot to 30 for whitetails.

This is how I have mine set as well, although I have a 60 yard pin as well. I will shoot up to 40 at a whitetail depending on the situation. But I love practicing at 60. When you practice long range shots, the shorter ones seem much easier.

Mine are allset at 10 yardincrments. You could move them closer, but seems to be a waste of time. I just round up or down for half yardages.

My bow is pretty slow especially with my heavy arrow so I get away with 5 yard increments. With the speed most higher ends bows are reaching today 5 yard increments would be too close together.

10-70 at 10 yard increments. I'll shoot up to 50 yards at a whitetail if conditions are perfect!

Thanks for all the help. My dad told me that it dependeon on the draw length and poundage to determan the different pins just as you all did

My new bow is so fast that I even if I stack the pins, I can't have a 20 and a 30 pin. Right now I have a 20, 40 and then go by tens. For 30 yards, I just shoot a couple inches high.

I have a z7x that shoots 290 fps in my current setup.
It is fast enough that my 20 and 30 yard pins would touch.
Therefore my pins are as followed:
    1 - 25 yards
    2 - 40 yards
    3 - 50 yards
    4 - 60 yards

I use a slider with a handmade sight tape that is marked every 20 and as I approach 100 and beyond I mark it every 10 yards.

Mine are set at 30, 40, 50, 60, 70. I will only shoot to 40 hunting, I just like practicing at longer distances.
