Last night I ordered the XOP vanish along with new sticks. I was wondering if the bracket is load bearing or after I put the stand of using the bracket if I need to go ahead and run my strap

You are talking about the quick hang bracket I'm assuming.
Yes you hang the bracket, drop the stand in and cam lock it down by getting on the stand turn around and put your knee on the seat and lift the platform up with the top of your foot until the stand seats into place fold the platform back down and the V in the back should bite into the tree good and tight.
You can then install the BOTTOM strap.
It is optional and the stand is safe to hunt out if without it.
DO NOT cam lock the stand with the bottom strap installed

Thanks I appreciate it, that's what I thought but I saw some picture of people using the bracket and putting another strap on top so I started questioning my self
