seems like a broadhead for someone with a long draw length and heavy draw weight. I've backed down my draw weight twice in last 10 years due to comfort, ease in cold weather etc. 29.5 inch draw just over 60 pounds I'd be afraid I'm not pushing enough energy for a head that large. Been shooting NAP Spitfires which are 1 1/2 inch but have even been thinking about trying Grim Reaper Fatal Steel 1 1/4 inch heads
those dont interest me, but I did order a pack of their 125gr Valdez which is their version of the 125gr Rocket Steelhead 1 1/4" cut ... I'll go to a lighter insert with a 20 gr. fact weight to keep my TAW at 430grs .... Steelheads have always been my favorite Mech. .... loved to see a review on the "Valdez" ....
just looked those up, 3 blade 1.25 cut so similar dimensions Grim Reaper Fatal Steel I'm looking at. I struggle with broadheads with rubber band retention
almost 15 yrs shooting Steelheads and Sidewinders, NEVER a problem with the bands ... penetration was there, accuracy and decent blood trails and dead deer ... always opened ... they are suppose to be here today per tracking, but the tracking of USPS dosnt show 'out for delivery' ... I'm guessing they will change delivery to tomorrow, the bastages .. I'll be lucky if I get 'em by Monday ... may have to go to Bass Pro tomorrow as I just found out I dont have any 125gr FP's in my archery tackle box..... always shot 100grs, those Ive got plenty of .. I need to check flight/trajectory and see if there is any diff. between the two arrow setups even though overall TAW is the same.(within a few grains)
Oh yeaaaaa .... they're Baaaack !! ....... One of the best Mech's ever ....... 125gr Steelhead now known as the "Valdez" - 1 1/4" cut..... blades are SHARP too .... I'll use these instead of the 1 3/8" Grimm Reaper
