My hottest are Dragon's Breath peppers. Unofficially #2 in the world at 2.48 million SHU. I have quite a few around the 1 million mark. I know I can ship a 1lb box for like $12. I will ask my dude at the post office tomorrow.
I showed my buddy. He thinks they may be out of his range of comfort. LMAO. I told him he was weak yet a jalapeno sets me off haha.
Dad and I went out to Ohio yesterday and came back this afternoon. I did happen upon this doe this morning. I smelled it just as I was going passed the pond on a trail to one of my setups. I first looked around the pond thinking EHD. The doe was about 5 yards off the trail on the other side but only about 15 yards from the pond. The eyes were gone, and the maggots were at the stomach. I'm not sure what caused the shoulder gash but that's the only issue I saw with it. Do you think it's EHD?
How far from a road? Could have been hit by a car with that gash in shoulder. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
It was about 30 yards off the road up hill. It's a very windy dirt road with mainly Amish traffic. I thought initially maybe hit by a vehicle too, but the crows, vultures and coyotes would have been all over it. As of yesterday, there were 7 EHD reported in Somerset township.
Technically reduction zones opened in Indiana....I however unlikely will be getting out any time soon.
Been so hot here I have not gone much. I will probably go tomorrow and friday morning. Depends on what is going on and the weather. Up in the 90s again today so I will not be going this afternoon.
I’ve got a few weeks yet before I can hit the woods but my first goal is going to be getting daughter her first deer. I hope to have that accomplished opening weekend. She is starting to get impatient waiting for her first real hunt lol.
Saturday is looking good for our season opener. 76° and a perfect wind for my urban spot. I should be out with the 7 year old after his basketball tryouts.
Well not ideal but plots essentially were nearly a failure so this past weekend saw me hitting about 200 pounds per acre rate of cereal rye into them and some fertilizer - few pounds of radishes broadcast too just because I had them (their window to mature isn't there but didn't care). My place is finally calming down some that the construction is done and the homeless encampment just down the road is gone...bucks are starting to trickle back in and around. Nothing I'd shoot yet but that could change quickly as it nearly always does.
Glad to hear your hunting grounds are getting back to some sort of normalcy. This dry weather has been terrible for fall plots. I planted Winter Greens, Tall Tine Tubers and Radishes the first week of August. Fortunately, we are in a valley and the heavy dews in the morning was enough to get them started. Supposed to be getting some rains this week. Hopefully that will give them the boost they need to get into October.
Hey Guys, Hope all is well. I just got back from vacation for our 10th anniversary. My wife and I went out to Coeur D'Alene for a week, we drove out to glacier national park and spent a few days driving through Montana and Idaho. Great trip, if you have never been to that part of the country and are considering it I would highly recommend it! Back to BFE Minnesota and back to the real world. Our bow season started on the 13th here and goes through December, 31. the Cuddelink cameras have been soaking for about a week and a half and I plan to go pull the home camera card this week. I made a quick 4 wheeler run with the kids to check on the fall food plots and they seem to be growing well. We have had a lot of moisture here, I feel for you guys that are in the drought affected areas. Highs in the 70's and 80's here for the next 10 days, I cant wait until we get a nice cold front high pressure evening in the next few weeks to get started on the bow season. I had a cell cam out all summer on a west facing hill top that showed a few promising MN bucks in August traveling in the direction of a 60 acre corn field that butts up to our property. The corn field has two major pinch points because of a small lake that property line splits, I'll post a picture of a map of the property that I hunt on. The SW corner is where I am mentioning. Happy hunting guys!
Quick update. Got a blind out yesterday in a spot where I’ve been getting pictures of this guy the last few days. Also broadcast Rakk fuel wicked greens over a failed plot before the rain today hoping something grows. Season opens Saturday here in Ohio can’t wait!
That's a good looking buck. I'll be headed out to our farms in South East Ohio on Friday for the season opener on Saturday also.
Had to make a work delivery today that took me right past the property so I went in and swapped cards. a couple of nice bucks for our area.
