Wow, that's upsetting. That will annihilate the deer herd within a couple of years. He should have a conversation about his concerns.

They can’t possibly have good access going thru the timber or even along the edge without blowing everything out. Especially with a prevailing west wind. I don’t believe you’re far from me as that seems to be the prevailing wind here. Unless I’m looking at it wrong.

A lot to unpack there in a small amount of space. I am just assuming your brothers 4o gets used for hunting? Most of the time you can't choose your neighbors and what they do on their property, but you can choose how you deal with them. If they are neighborly I'd start with talking to them and getting an understanding on what their goal is with selling hunts. If all they are doing is selling hunts in the tower blind, its probably not over concerning. If they litter the woods with bow stands that gets a little more challenging but as mentioned they still need to hunt it and the wind plays a big factor. If they are neighborly and tell you what the plan is, that would give you the most information to tell you how to react for the best hunting on your brothers land. Ideally if you have a 2 foot topo map for those properties that can tell you what the hunting looks like on those properties and the ones around them. If you haven't already the county GIS map may be able to show you 2 foot topo.

Regardless of what their plan is there are plenty of things you can do to improve deer hunting opportunity on your brothers 40. If you know their plan you can really pin down what work you could do to improve hunting for that 40.

It sounds like they are mostly brown & down gun hunters. He's not trying to control anything they're doing next door...just frustrated with how the season is going.

Are you out hunting today Ty? Slugger and I were out this morning. Today is the last day of the PA rifle season. I'll be back out later this afternoon. Biggest buck I've seen is a 95" - 100" 8 point that I'm glad to see no one has shot yet. I'm hoping with this being the last day something make get driven into my area. Good luck if you're out.

Never got over my illness like I desired and decided against it. I have two vacation days I have to use by year's end that I'm going to use for sure this next week one of them when we get some mid 30s weather. COLD weather followed by those 30s or 40s warms ups in December I've found clover spots with rye can be KILLER so hoping to sling an arrow at a doe during that!

Keep at it guys I have faith in ya. I’ve been out with my daughter a few more times trying to get her first deer. I’m not pushing her and so we only go when she wants. Today we set out a bunch of dp’s to work on the local raccoon population and already got our first!

It's 5° with 7" of fresh snow. I won't be out hunting today!

Next weekend looks like a light basketball schedule, so we should be back out after a doe.

I'm sidelined in PA until 12/26 when our 2nd Archery season comes back in. I refuse to shoot a doe in Ohio due to EHD this year. We have an abundance of does here at home, so I don't mind taking one here. Good luck to those who are still getting out and grinding.

You're gonna get one down I feel it!

I'm going to give it a handful of hunts yet to make this work - me and @fletch920 both gotta get that second deer down for the team.

Going to try and get one or two more sits in before the end of the year. We have well over a foot and a half of snow now. I have one of my cousins on call to bring a snowmobile out for a recovery.

Man this year just won't relent life and job wise. The fact somehow I have a buck down with the crazy few hunts is almost unbelievable. Wasn't able to make it out yesterday than as I couldn't escape work which imploded some and bosses don't leave in moments like that.

Plan right now is either Friday or Saturday evening I might grab my pop's crossbow really given the wind and the fact I might crawl into very minimal cover tree line and that far less movement could be key. Any antlerless is on the menu - we need those points!

Actually what is the final day for entry? My reduction zone runs later than normal IN seasons so if we get to the point where one deer would do it I'll for sure hunt up until final day whenever possible.
