Stay with it man! It is a grind often and during rut is feast or famine it seems.

For sure it is! Our ~450 acre property gets used hard in the months of October and November with cars and foot traffic. Thinking to let it lay for a few days and I can get a few more sits in.

Well, my granddaughter got her chance last evening. I rushed home from Ohio to get her out in time since the bucks were pretty hot here in PA when I left last Friday. It came by around 4:30 at 20 yards but never stopped to give her a shot. About 10 minutes before last light 2 fawns came in, and he was following them. He gave her a semi quartering too shot. It mule kicked and took off. We gave it 30 minutes before we went and looked at impact spot. I didn't trail it very far when I told her the blood is really dark, and it has gut matter in it. I told her we would push it if we continued. I waited until after my morning hunt to go look for it. It only when about 110 yards. Unfortunately, the coyotes must have found it last night. They ate a good bit of the hind quarters. She ended up hitting one lung, the liver and it came out low hitting the gut. I'm still very proud of her. This is her 7th archery buck and she's 16. This is the buck I passed last Wednesday hoping to be able to get her on it. Her 3rd sit got it done.

Wow, that was cool. I had a lone doe cautiously coming in and a minute later I see a 6 point on her trail. 100 yards behind him was a 7 point with a 3” droptine. He caught up with that doe and chased her back in the swamp. Hopefully, something bigger follows her trail.

I get my buck scored tomorrow evening so I should have it posted then. I roughed him at 118 and some change. We will see how close I am.

Probably 3rd place since Team 9 entered a 117" buck last night or early this morning. I'm still grinding and I'm headed to the stand.

Illness ripping through house finally nabbed me - doubt I make it out soon, but I need more meat so one way or another I'm far from done.

I was wondering how long it was going to take you to post a score.

Once it’s posted someone needs to let me know. I don’t go back and check.
