I drew a general tag in Wyoming for this fall. We will be SW of Casper. We will be archery hunting. We plan on heading out for the first week of season. I just bought some new glass and I'm really excited to see how it does out there. I have a general strategy of find a nice vantage point and glass glass glass. I will also be looking for water holes. My dad has a hard time acclimating to the altitude so I planned to head out a little early and focus on the high dessert at first. If anyone would be willing to share any mule deer hunting advice I would appreciate it.

I’ve never hunted Wyoming for mule deer but I have hunted Nebraska quite a bit. Your tactics sound good to me. Get up on a hill early in the morning and glass a lot before they bed down. Once you spot a buck you want to go after watch him until he beds down, then it’s up to you and the wind. Finding water could also be a big benefit. Goodluck!
