Wyoming Antelope Hunting Pics

Here's a few pics from our trip west last week to meet Dustin and Antelope hunt. I am pretty bummed at the lack of pictures I took. Normally I take a ton. Most of the time was spent filming, so I forgot about the still camera.

Anyways, here's some pics. You'll have to wait for a blog and a future episode of Bowhunt or Die for the full stories!!!

Dustin's Antelope killed a few hours after mine was.




After Dustin shot his Antelope we did a time lapse filming of the sunset. It was nice to just sit there and take it all in.

We even got to take a little trip to the mountains for a little fishing.





I didn't have any pics of Grant or Neal!! Maybe one of them can throw a few in here!?!

 

Goats and trout, that would be a tough trip to beat this time of year.

Johnny said on the way home that the trip far exceed his expectations. He never really had a desire to hunt antelope and now he can't wait to get back out there. Spotting and stalking makes it a lot more fun.

That picture of Johnny by the lake was a 1.8 mile hike up the mountain to catch Cutthroats. We got there in the evening and saw tons rising and caught quite a few of them. None big, but it was fun. We ended up hiking out in the dark and sleeping in the truck that night. It was down to 37 and all we had was our jeans and sweatshirts. It was a blast though!

Didn't they make a movie like this? And to think Justin named this --> after you.

 

Looks like a blast. I'll have to make it out there too some season soon.

That sounds like a trip of a lifetime guys... REALLY envious of your time out there.

I took a goat out there a couple years ago in my one and only outfitted hunt I've ever done; I did it mainly just to spend some time with friends... doubt I'll ever do one again (unless it's with you for bear ) Next trip after pronghorn I want to be like yours... pull the trailer out there and stay a while.
