I am having trouble getting my WWAG-style press to work with my 82nd. I don't know if it the limb angle or the INVELVET coating but the press wants to slip down the limbs towards the cams. Anyone has had this issue? Anyone not had this issue?

I have not had an issue. I've pressed 82nd's and 101's with mine unless your talking about it slipping prior to pressing, on set up.

I lay the press on it's side (obviously) and place the bow where necessary. I then ratchet it just a little to apply pressure and keep the bow in place, stand it upright, make sure bow is right and then press.

    Hmm...
    I'll try again.
Are your cross bolts bare? Or, do they have anything covering them?

I'll zip a response in here for Rob. (He's probably hard at work, yeah right:busted: )

His bolts do have a plastic sheath of sorts on them to protect the limbs.

Laid on its side and slightly tightened should get you going before standing it up. Your bolts should have a rubber tube on them to protect the finish.

I pressed my 101st with my Ultra-Press just fine, and you can't lay that press on its side, but the pins are covered with plastic tubing like the WWAG press. It does tend to slide a little bit upon applying the initial tension, but it wasn't a huge issue.

Ben is correct, I do have rubber hosing over my bolts as per the way it came. I assume and hope you do as well.

No I made the press ma'self. My tubing (pex) is slippery. I am going to look for some 'stickier' tubing.

    Yes, pex would be slippery.

Need me to take pics of my WWAG press. It's a clear rubber tubing. It's flexible.

Yep id say the pex is your problem. to slicky. I made mine to, but used rubber tubing. yours does adjust right? different holes for limb angles?

Rob - Thanks, I'm good without pics.

Blood - I have plenty of holes for adjustment. I will find some better tubing. In the meantime, I made a couple of parachute cord loops that kept it in place so that I could put a 1/2 twist in my string.
