Ummm yeah... he fumbled it once and threw two interceptions (one got a lucky flag to get it back) in that time span. Sure the defense wasn't stopping Brady.... but they went UNANSWERED because Manning failed to score, or even string together a decent drive for the entire second half until the last few minutes.
Brady overcame is mistakes, Manning did not. The Bronco's only put up 7pts in the second half. They were outscored 34 to 7 in the second half and overtime. If he could have just strung together a drive for a field goal, the probably would have won the game. He didn't come through, pure and simple. He also had very little to do with the 17 spot the patriots gave them in the first quarter.
Hooker, If you were on a team playing in the Superbowl, who would you want as your QB, Brady or Manning Yes the QB has the biggest impact on the field. The QB IS the MVP on the field in football.
Partially yeah. Why is that hard to understand? A QB is the leader of the team. Brady failed to lead in the first half as they coughed up like 4 fumbles. Manning failed to lead in the second half as Brady came storming back into the game with 4 straight TD drives followed by a field goal.
Why are the Bronco's and the Patriots considered the class of the NFL, one of the best teams. It ins't because they have great tight ends. It's because they have elite, hall of fame quarterbacks. Where were the Bronco's two years ago before Manning. Nowhere is the answer.
They were 8-8, backed into the playoffs and won a game. The year before that they were 4-12. They were certainly not considered the class of the NFL.
Just for curiosity sake though, how many one and done playoff trips did Manning have? Now let's compare that to Tebow....
I at first though Hook was just being the other side of the argument for argument sake, but I truly think he believes this.
