Regular Season alone I completely agree...because if I remember right it wasn't like they were a team that was riddled with injuries causing that 9-7 regular season record.
Very true. I can post a multitude of stats where Manning beat Brady horribly, but everyone here would say "those stats don't matter"
So we've established Brady isn't perfect. Ok, so now we have a baseline. He's lost one Superbowl. How many would Manning have lost if he had four chances? Oh wait, he's only had one. He is 9-11 in the post season. There must be a reason that a QB that wins 70% of his regular season games is only winning 45% of his post season games. Most of which, they had the home field advantage.
Your right, I was going off the top of my head. I forgot about the first loss to Eli and the Giants. So he's played in 5 and won 3. 5 Superbowls > 1 Superbowl. Got it!
Manning always racks up a very impressive record earning a 1 or 2 seed and home field advantage, and still only managed to appear in 2 Super Bowls and carry a 9-11 losing record in the playoffs. Something doesn't add up there. Brady has appeared in FIVE Super Bowls and carries a 17-7 post season record. Statistically they are about the same, it just isn't close when it comes to winning (and don't give me that its a team sport spill, With all time greats taking snaps that excuse doesn't fly). I strongly believe if the Pats didn't botch that perfect season in the super bowl against the mediocre Giants (agreed Hooker) coupled with his record setting season that year, Brady goes down as the best ever in basically everyones mind. But the infamous Helmet catch, one of the craziest super bowl plays ever, made it not so.
well for starters, Manning has playing in 2 SBs. He is 1-1. He lost to the Saints. Manning is just a better QB than Brady. It's just quite simple. Brady has the benefit of playing for one of the best coaches of all time. He has also had much better defenses early in his career when he was actually winning SBs.
Tony Dungy was just mediocre right? I don't disagree, I dislike that "guy" coaching the Pats, but he is probably one of the greatest if not greatest.
Without Brady, Belichick is just a mediocre coach. 36-44 record with the Browns. Tom Brady makes him a better coach.
I know I personally would have responded and played better for Dungy...but I will never argue he was better, but he was great!
Yes, and the Chiefs won 10 games with Cassell the next year. That was with a terrible GM and a horrible coach.
