WHat is with all the spam posts on this forum the last few weeks? I come into the forum every morning and hit the new posts button and I get about a page or so of new threads that are mostly spam. Isn't there some security measure to stop that mess?
It sure is a downer when you open the forum and think, "WOW. There should be a lot of interesting topics with two pages of new posts," only to find that it's just junk.
Well it makes it kind of hard to sort out the legit posts when they are intermingled with so many spam threads.
it could be taken care of pretty easily by requiring new members first post be approved by admin/mods.
Yes, the spam has been building over the last couple months. The problem is we've come to a fork in the road: do one more update with the current software company which seems to be dying, or switch platforms to a new company. We've decided on the later. The good news is that should in the end help us drastically with the spam and will be a platform that we can continue to build on and add features with. The down side is that it's not an easy fix, and it'll take some time. We're hoping to have it done in the next month, but I'm afraid we'll need a little patience from everyone until we can complete the migration. Trust me, I'll be just as happy (or more) to see the flood of SPAM stop. We've been averaging between 15-30+ bans a day, our fingers are getting tired!

I say we blame it on everyone spending alot of time in the rant thread, I can't prove it. But I'm using new fangled scienmatific guesstimated deducted reasoning. It's slightly above spitballing. On the other hand I've lost 17lbs and my skin has never been softer.
Yeah, I was kinda liking it for a while, I had a 30% increase in p*nis size but after a month now my back is hurting from carrying so much weight all the time and I'm a bit disgruntled so...

Tapatalk is pretty notorious for having security holes that can let spammers in. I think the new software has the ability to prevent users signing up with Tapatalk, so that should help a great deal.
For every spam thread you see, there are just as many and more being deleted by us in the morning as fast as we can. Having used the new platform on another forum for a few years, I can say I think most of you will be pleased with the change.
