I'm a Vikes fan who sincerely dislikes the packers but boy, Green Bay sure got the shaft at the end of that game. I had sympathy for the replacements up until now. This is a huge embarrassment for the nfl tonight.
Total joke!! Bad calls all game both ways. Flags almost every play! How can't you get that call on the final play right after replay?
It was probably the worst call I've ever seen. And there have some bad ones over the years. If you didn't see the whole sequence live you never will get the whole story I can tell you that. Seriously I'm just laughing. Glad I don't take this too seriously because if I did I would be ballistic. This will be one of the top stories nationwide tomorrow. The replacement refs just dug their own grave.
Even my die-hard Bear fan friends are pissed about the call....the product that is the NFL is like a pile of crap in a goodie bag....you want the goodie bag because it's supposed to be good, but then you open it reach in and have just a turd in your hand. I absolutely am beside myself right now at the end of the game calls....disgrace/ridiculous/absurd...every negative word fits!
Do you think regular officials would have made that last call? It was simultaneous possession, if you think that it is wrong then the rule is flawed, not the officiating.
*Watch the replay from the end zone corner.* White ref and black ref converge on pile and look at each other for the other one to make a call. The black ref starts to raise his arms as if to signal stoppage of play (which means interception) while the white ref notices the black ref and also starts to raise his arms and then slightly pauses then continues to raise signaling touchdown. You could tell with his pause and actions he assumed the black ref was also going to signal touchdown....which he didn't!
Wow, did you watch it? The Packer player had the ball against his chest two hands on the ball and the Seattle player who was underneath the Packer player had one hand on it.
Dude no it was most definitely not...the announcers and the official person they brought in with 25+ years of experience stated it wasn't simultaneous...Jennings got the ball in both hands and into his chest on the way down and when down. Tate only ever had one arm and a hand on the ball at most...PERIOD. Any sober person watching the game or who watches the replay, every ESPN analyst, newspaper people, and well everyone who sees the play can tell it was an interception.
It was not simultaneous possession. Jennings had it to his chest and Tate had a hands on it around Jennings body.
I'll be honest if that is simultaneous....then I'm guaranteed to kill a 500inch buck this season. Guaranteed!
So your position on this matter is the refs got it correct because real time you could not tell? Well, yeah. Annnnnnnnnd with that comment I am going to bed. Good night all.
sorry you are 100% wrong...it was obvious who caught the ball...obvious. You don't see it get your eyes checked.
Yes... Greenbay got hosed on that last play. BUT... then we can back up to the last scoring drive of Greenbay that was kept alive by a pass interference call that didn't happen. Even all the sports announcers said it was the worst call they'd ever seen. I'm thinking that unless Roger is a total icehole.... there will be a quick settlement with the real officials .
Just another reason why I will be so happy to be in a treestand starting in another week and won't be watching any football so it won't matter!
