So I was shooting a little bit at work today. I had my tailgate down with my bow and case laying in the back. Set my target out 30 yards and flinging a bunch of arrows. I went inside for awhile and did some stuff. Taking a break and was going to shoot more in awhile so I left my bow there. Got a phone call and had to meet somebody so I grabbed my keys, got in my truck and started to back out to turn around. Totally forgot about my bow laying in the back of my tailgate. Never saw it as I was backing up. Pulled forward a little bit and about ready to head out and it dawned on me! OH $*#$!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont' know how, why, where, what, who ...... but somehow it didn't fall off the edge of the tailgate before I realized. Safe and sound somehow but at the moment I realized it, I really thought I drove over it a couple times. Holy crap.

I am glad it worked out for you.

It is amazing how many things we have to re-learn as adults. Don't let others fool you. We all do stupid stuff we should know better than doing.

My latest? A brand new pair of glasses that cost around $400. I stuck them and their protective case in a side pocket of a computer case. Stuck the computer case under an airplaine seat knowing that there was a chance they could fall out. Sure enough they did...3 days after I bought them and never to be seen again (by me).

Uh Oh .... you just made it happen again soon :violin:

NY... I did that with my brand new, all camo Winchester 1300 turkey gun :busted:....cept I drove 1/4 mile before I realised it ... and it wasnt on the back of my vehicle when I stopped to look  .... I lived in the stix at the time, so I went to the first sharp bend and there was a ridge thst dropped almost strsight down full of head high weeds .... I found a camo shotgun in the middle of that stuff ... I was thanking :hail:God all day cuz there was no way I was gonna find it without a machette :o
