I use the powder in the bottles a TON while elk hunting. But honestly for deer hunting the way I do, its more for entertainment purposes only rather than use as a tool. The winds where I hunt most times swirl constantly. When I do determine the rough prevailing direction & pick a stand I'm not going to change or get out of my stand once I'm there no matter what the wind puffer tells me.
Greg...seems like I remember seeing you wearing the wind tracker in one of your "kill pics." Was yours green?
The older ones were green... then the ones I bought later at Cabela's were tan. I'll try stuffing a cotton ball in there and tearing off a few fibers at a time and seeing how that works. Would be a lot cheaper.
