Wow... After 20 years, archery is like riding a bicycle...

You all have seen a few of my postings with that (FREE!) 2017 Mission by Mathews Hype DT bow from my old USCG buddy. Still perfect, still "true", after the bow shop checked it all over. I went up to Green Top (up Route 1, a hair north of Richmond, VA) and used their 20 yard indoor archery range. I kind of admitted to the guys, "I hope you don't mind... I'm just a little hesitant, that's all. Ain't done this in over 20 years!" :( The guys were cool and said, "It's okay... You'll remember..."

I called this photo: "20 yards, 20 years", even if it's just a hair low after all this time.

52 lb draw weight, 29" draw length.
GT Hunter 400 spine cut 29½", 100gr field tips.
Basic QAD drop away rest, Copper John Dead Nuts sights at 10,20,30,40 (per my USCG buddy).

It is nice to have a local bow shop. I bought myself a bow as a retirement gift when I was done coaching football. I made the mistake of going to a big box store to buy my equipment. If not for my local bow shop helping me figure out my set up and give me good information I would have been frustrated.

I went to high school in Fredericksburg. My Dad and I would drive down to north Richmond and visit Green Top. We would buy a years worth of plastic worms, hooks, and weights. HAHAHA. I loved that place so much.
