I was out scouting and got some video of a deer that was shot at some point (see link for video). It looks like the arrow or bullet entered right under the backbone and exited too high possibly catching one lung max. I have pics of him in December with no wound so I wonder if it may have been a poacher but that's besides the point. I was curious if you guys think this injury could have affected antler growth because he really didn't put on much growth and the rack seems pretty spindly for 31/2. Below is a picture of him last year. My thoughts exactly. If that shot would be an inch higher he woulda been a goner. I might need to take you up on that.
Glad to see he made it through! Could be worse, could have found him dead last year, but looks healthy to me.
