Just some food for thought, I'm sittin on a field edge right now and while its legal to shoot right now, its definitely too dark to shoot and has been for about 5 minutes. Legal time expires at 635 this afternoon, so just something to think about the half hour rule does cover it most of the time
I can pretty much guarantee that I can go by the civill twilight for safe shooting hours. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk

Had this about happen to me tonight. Two small bucks with 6 minutes of shoot time left at 20 yards. Deer turned broadside and I had a clear shooting lane, came to full draw and could barely see my pin so I let back down. Had this been 10 minutes later and I would have never seen the deer.
That's very true, and today was a bad example. My point was like already mentioned hunt times are about safety, not if you csn safely take an animal but so so don't take another hunter. Me personally I trust myself more in making that decision more than I do the people that come up with that particular law. Especially this state. Was just using it as example of how even the time tables aren't perfect to go off of. Ftr I don't consider moon light in this topic, sure some nights you can see perfectly fine by moon light and probably enough to take a shot. But there's a difference in day light hours and a moon lit night.
