I have posted a couple of bucks that are deer that I would shoot with out hesitation. However it is my first year hunting in Wisconsin and I'm not sure if I would shoot this buck if I saw him. He would be my largest bow kill...

    Would you shoot?

Would he make your heart rate go up if you had him in range? If yes, go for it.

I get excited when does come through my shooting lanes! If I went with that theory I would shoot the first thing I saw every year! Haha. I guess when that stops happening to me I'm done hunting. I love the rush of adrenalin that I get from seeing deer!

That happens to me, too :busted: But when I see a big buck, its a different kind of feeling. More like holy s***, where's my bow?!?!? Thats how I know when to shoot

I would be excited to get him in close but would pass on him knowing I have 6 bigger bucks walking the property. If he was the biggest you have been seeing all year, that would be different.

I have to agree, theres a different feeling when you see THE buck! If thats your biggest to date, I say why not! If you would be happy with it then heck yeah!

Nothing wrong with taking a buck like that for your first bow kill. You have to get some kills with your bow so when the time comes when that big old slob shows up your ready.

I have killed many deer with my bow. I have just always hunted in an area in Michigan with small buck because everyone in the area would shoot everything they would see. Now I'm in an area with large bucks in Wisconsin and I'm just trying to get an idea of how this would stack up in everyone's opinion. I can only shoot one buck with my bow and want to make it a good kill as I have many doe tags to fill for meat in the freezer. This buck would be my largest with a bow however....

If it makes you happy shoot him! If your questioning yourself whether or not to shoot him i would say pass on him. You will know if hes the one you want when he walks in front of you. Good luck!

Everyone is different...lots of factors that go in to making that decision. If he gets you excited by all means!

Depends how he looks in person. I know some deer look way smaller on trail cams then they did in person.

    Depends on you...

I say shoot him if you want to shoot him. It's a nice buck. You only know in the moment. I've let some go that I did regret. One of the biggest questions is how many bucks have seen in the area?
