My dad lives in a township were no hunting is allowed. Last year he had a 200 inch deer at his bird feeder regularly. This year a couple of 140 s. These deer are tame, i mean tame open the sliding porch door and walk to within 15 yards of them. If the white deer is like that I would not shoot it no challenge no thrill in my opinion.

In a regular hunting set up I would shoot in a heartbeat.

I'd shoot just about ANY buck right about now! Someone will always have a problem with something we do, I have learned to ignore it all and do what I feel is right for me and mine.

That melanistic is awesome....I've never even heard of deer in a melanistic variation...awesome. Yes I would take the melanistic deer just to keep a car from hitting it at night....it would be a public service. The white deer are highly visible at night.:nana:

I'm fused as to why you're fused?

Uh...yeah....thus harder to see at night near or in the road....
The last line about the white deer was about the albino deer, I'd remarked earlier I wouldn't shoot the albino and no need because they are visible at night unlike the melanistic (black) deer.

You did see the pic posted with the black deer?

He would get a pass from me. I am living in a suburb for school and there are 2 albino squirrels I see pretty regularly. I can honestly say seeing those little buggers running around always brightens my day, and even if I saw them squirrel hunting I would probably pass. There are plenty of other deer out there to shoot. Letting one like this walk so someone else can see it is pretty cool. As for the full body mount, it loses some of its appeal not out in the woods. I am sure everyone can remember they first saw a big buck out in the woods. Has a much different feel to it than one on the wall.

I am probably in the minority here, but I think it is kind of ugly so it would be an easy pass for me in that regard. Nice rack though... Seems I met some women like this in my youth that I passed on too lol.

I mean if everyone in the neighborhood loves it and it is so beautiful, that would just give us hunters a bad look if we just killed it
