I don't want to offend anyone but it is a genetic defect, it should be removed from the herd for the better health of the herd. Laws protecting them are silly and don't take the over all health of the herd in to play. Kill them every time, they would look cool on the wall.
I hunted one for two years...if they live past their first year they are incredibly hard to kill...they definitely know they are different from other deer. The one i hunted was a 5 or 6 year old doe living in a subdivision...she was the wariest, most sensitive deer i have ever seen! In two years of hunting her, i had her within bow range three times, but never loosed an arrow....she ended up getting poached at night in a nearby field....broke my heart....she was a true trophy....but given the opportunity again YES I would shoot!
Absolutely. I know of 2 people that killed albino fawns in back to back years from the same stand. That area produces alot of albino but I have never seen one in the wild. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
Not legal here or I would shoot either an albino doe, or mature albino buck. A friend of mine has had an albino buck on his farm for the last 4 years. It never did grow a big rack, but would still be a neat trophy if legal.
No reason not to, I mean its a genetic mutation and sooner or later natural selection would get em killed. So YES i would.
An albino deer considered a genetic defect that will perpetuate the traits through a healthy deer population. So yes I would put it down without hesitation.
This although I would much rather it be a piebald. To shoot a albino just to say I have, wouldn't really be that big of a deal for me. I really don't care for them. Piebalds on the other hand are pretty neat looking. I would go out of my way to try to kill one whether it would be a buck or doe. Tim
