    Not as bad as I would have thought, but land prices are still 50% or even higher than WI.

    If I were you, I would consider WI. There is no state with as much pressure as MI and it costs more?

    Ive been looking at land for close to a year now and it is not cheap in Southern MI and there really aren't that many decent pieces for sale.

    why are u bothering mi and wi when you are in one of the well know state thats known to harvest big bucks????

    Maybe he likes to hunt? I'd hit all the big buck states every year if I won the lotto. :)

    Wisconsin seems like the better choice...the only real great places in Michigan, In my opinion are South Central and Southwestern counties...this is all private family farms...tough to find one for sale and if you do they're not cheap. I wouldn't rule it out though. There are great bucks in Michigan I see them shot every year...alot of people here don't seem to care about the record books. Get someone looking for properties for you...do the research on where you want to be county wise and be ready to go look.
