I'm just saying....... where does that tradition come from? Many cultures especially in history, as I am sure you are aware, do not find eating ones own kind to be taboo.

Babies/ children eat and thrive on mothers milk, a product of the human body. Why would Flesh be any different. We milk cows, we eat cows.
I don't drink milk with my steak , but a beer or three will work. While we are talking steaks let's keep the bone in as it's going on the grill.
I don't think this would be perceived as such an off the wall question if it were asked pertaining to a survival situation but I know Hooker specifically asked in a non-survival scenario. In a survival situation I could see most people doing it. I don't think eating humans should or would ever take off as a trend, but then again it wouldn't surprise me with some of the cultures and society these days.
Back in Brooklyn we had a joke that had more then a little truth in it.... When some one would say they are looking for so and so...the reply would be...Stay away from the sausage for a few days...
I guess it's the same type of recycling that a dog does when it eats it's poop. It's recycling so it must be good.
