My thoughts are . . . If you kill the WR you will have sponsorships, endorsements, and money being thrown at you for everything you used to kill him. So to me there is no need to sell the mount. So therefore I would not sell the mount :D

Unless someone is already very rich and has no use for more money...I find it hard to believe someone would not sell the antlers....it's a deer...records don't last forever either

Of course I would sell them for a million

Your lying if you say you wouldn't.. Plain and simple... anyone who says they wouldn't sell them for $1,000,000 is lying.

That's right... I'm calling you out.

I would sell it in a heartbeat. First and foremost I'm not sure my home owners insurance would cover the theft and it would get stolen at some point. I would be paranoid with my .45 by my side at all times thinking someone would break in and steal it. Selling it and getting a replica would be fine and I could walk up from time to time where it is displayed and be "That Guy" who shot it. The money could be used for so much more than the rack I am guarding with paranoia.

    I'd sell it too.

Call me crazy but I hope I never shoot the new World Record, it would be 100% legal and knowing this industry like I do, I wouldn't want the hassle that comes with it.

Heck, I would give the thing to a couple of my friends if they asked. Like I said, no room for racks or mounts.

All the more reason to sell it. Being in the spotlight and turning hunting into a business would be about the last thing I would want. That would be a slippy slope and you might find yourself on TV with an ozone machine hanging next to you, shooting some half *** cow, I mean deer in a 100 pen pen then telling everyone how you never would have gotten it with the ozone machine......buy one right now you can kill the same stinking 6 pointer that you would have killed before we took your 600.....

Nope I will take the million.

I've been confronted with this problem several times. I've sold most of mine, but have also said no to the mil and kept a few too.

I've never measured a set of horns. I probably wouldn't know I had a record. LOL But if someone offered me that kind of money I'd be getting rid of the rack instantly.

I didn't even think about all the attention that comes with it, even if you sell it. Phone calls, interviews, being asked to attend expos. That would suck.

I would be torn on even entering the deer as a record. The only reason I would consider it was so I could sell the antlers. When you think about it, its actually kind of sad people would pay money for antlers. Especially from an animal they didn't kill.

I would take the money, I could do alot more with a million dollars then a mount hanging on my wall, wait if its the WR deer I'd need to put it in a big azz safe and wouldn't be able to look at it everyday without opening the safe. So yeah show me the money!

I'd sell them for whatever the top bidder offered. Records are made to be broken. It won't stand forever, take the cash and keep the memorys.

I could do more things with a million dollars than I can even think of. The only thing I can do with a rack is hang it somewhere. My only problem would be that I'd hope not to break said rack as I exchanged it as fast as I could for the million smackaroos.
