I agree with you GMMAT and I will add that most average Michigan hunters would be doing good to see one every 10 years (during hunting season). Many never do. It all depends where you are. In some Michigan counties I would expect to see at least one 4.5yr old every year no matter how bad I screwed up. I other counties I would be lucky if I seen one in 20 years even if I was a well above average hunter.

Best thing you can do IF you own land is work with your neighbors and form a CO-OP.

Haven't made anything up actually............so when something crushes the logic you are leaning on either just skip it and hope no one notices and/or claim it is "made up".

    LOL

The best part is all anyone has to do is look around the forum for 2 minutes to see your logic get flushed down the drain........couple posts back you have a self proclaimed avg Illinois hunter on not special land who is not even fond of his own skill set at nailing buicks telling everyone he has had shots at three 4 year olds in 5 years. Then there's this beauty from Illinois public land http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php?t=8936 missing a 10, a 9, and then drilling a 14 pt split brow hog within spitting distance of the road..........Thank God he was one of those extra special skilled Illinois guys........as anyone from the east coast would have surely missed all 3 ;)

Atlas.. to me you're like the Michael Moore of the hunting forums.

Taking things out of context and pushing them the way you wish to see them.

I can play that game too.. ALL 209" of this NEW YORK whitetail.

Again I'll conclude.. as I always have with you.. keep trying bud. You'll make it some day.;)

This info can't be fact? Kansas is listed only behind Iowa and Ill. as the #3 State to harvest a P&Y.

It might not be one of the highest when it comes to the total number of entries, probably due to less overall hunters as compared to other States? But regardless still one of the best States as for P&Y oppurtunities.

You have to factor in all the bucks that arent entered by farmer joe and people who dont give a **** about score. This happens in every state.

The truth is not "out of context"...............funny how you seem to think I am the only one saying it ;)

Wrong game..................this isn't the lottery, everyone playing that game faces the same odds ;)

I'd say what is holding me back is needing more time in the woods and not knowing exactly how to hunt them. I have an idea, but I need to brush up on my "big bucks 101". I'm in grad school full-time right now, which is 3 hrs away from my hunting grounds. So that takes away from how much I can get out.
