Would like helpful tips and advice on baiting deer in only 1 month until season start

    I use corn and salt blocks. I also use peanut butter. Sometimes I spread it on trees and sometimes I cut the bottom out of the jar, nail the lid to a tree, and then screw the jar back into the lid. I think they like the peanut butter better than corn and I think they can smell it better too. You need to kill the deer fast before the peanut butter puts you in the poor house :D

    SALT Blocks at Farm Store...TS...FFleet...etc. is that where you get the Salt Blocks that u use Grits?
    I've heard the critters prefer minerals over corn, acorns,apples etc. put a camera out and test!:p

    Yes I usually get a mineral block but use plain salt if that is all they have. Last year the feed store where I get my corn and salt had something that they were selling that people really went crazy over. I bought a bag and when I opened it from the smell I said it was just sweet feed. Then I noticed it had ground up peanuts in it too. I plan to get some more this year if they are selling it again. The bag I bought didn't last very long. Just judging from the way the deer go after peanut butter I would say if you can get some peanuts ground up and mix it with corn and sweet feet you can really bring them in.
