I'm not shooting that thing even once, let alone the 100's of times you might shoot it a day bowfishing.

My concern too though I may be bit more adventurous.

Very Inventive... How fast is it and how durable do you think it will be? I would be concerned about losing speed over a fairly short time through repeated stressing of the PVC. I might try it... maybe... but I don't think I would invest much money into accessories until it passed some stress testing. We made bows out of hickory limbs when I was a kid and it was amazing how reliable they sometimes were. Golden Rod stems were our arrows, headless nails were our points.

ive heard anywere from 100 to 500 plus shots and its not a break in limbs its a poundage drop from 60lbs to about 40. the most expensive part is the bow string its about 12 bucks at basspro.

I think you could buy a starter compound bow on ebay for about the same as you would have invested in building the one in the video...Plus, as mentioned above, it's risky and going to hurt if/when it breaks...Just my .02...

i copyed this bow right out of the video for fun and it has the power to bowfish but the sight is not acurate and is not worth the time if you want an effective bowfishing bow. plus it costed more the 10$ but is a fun bow to just have to mess around with.

No one I bowfish with, myself included, even uses sights? I didn't think anyone did. and plus for all the wear and tear bowfishing does to a bow all I did was buy a $45 used bow from Scheels. Not that expensive and you don't have to jerry-rig it to get your reel or rest on it.

If I had nothing else, I would use one of those.

    But probably not.
